Purpose

A. Develop ninhydrin-treated latent sweat fingerprint.

B. Develop DFO-treated latent sweat fingerprint.

C. Develop 1,2-indanedione-treated latent sweat fingerprint.

Description

A. The fuming chamber has a heat preservation function, and is internally equipped with the heater, humidifier, circulating fan, temperature sensor and humidity sensor. These elements are controlled by the microcomputer program, so that the chamber can produce condition suitable for development of fingerprints treated by ninhydrin, 1,2-indanedione and DFO.

B. Control the chamber on the touch screen.

C. The touch screen displays all technical parameters (the user can modify the parameters).

D. The touch screen displays the operating instructions.

E. Precise humidity control with Vaisala humidity sensor with high temperature resistance.

F. The glass door and built-in lighting enable the user to observe the fingerprint development process.

Method

Put the exhibit treated with fingerprint reagent into the fuming chamber, turn on the power and the touch screen lights up. The screen displays three options: “Ninhydrin”, “1,2-indanedione” and “DFO”.

A. Click “Ninhydrin” to enter the “Ninhydrin” function interface that shows the development parameters of “Ninhydrin”. Fill the water tank (the screen text and the buzzer indicate the empty/full of water), press the “START” button to begin the development. If the development ends, the buzzer sounds and the fuming chamber stops working automatically.

B. Click “1,2-indanedione” to enter the “1,2-indanedione” function interface that shows the development parameters of “1,2-indanedione”. Press the “START” button to begin the development. If the development ends, the buzzer sounds and the fuming chamber stops working automatically.

C. Click “DFO” to enter the “DFO” function interface that shows the development parameters of “DFO”. Press the “START” button to begin the development. If the development ends, the buzzer sounds and the fuming chamber stops working automatically.
