Purpose

Working principle

The main ingredients are luminol and oxidant. The heme in the blood catalyzes the oxidation of the luminol, and the oxidized luminol gives blue light, which can be clearly observed in a dark environment.

Method

A. Inject 150ml of water into the spray bottle, put one reagent A and one reagent B into the spray bottle, and shake the spray bottle until the reagents are all dissolved.

B. In a dark environment, spray the reagent on the exhibit. If blue fluorescence appears, it may indicate the existence of bloodstain.

C. The fluorescence intensity gradually decreases with time, and after about 30 minutes, the fluorescence disappears.

Development effect

Capable of discovering blood diluted 10,000 times, as well as blood removed by detergent and old blood. And the blood treated with the developer will not affect the DNA analysis.

False positive

When using luminol development, traces left by juice and soy sauce can also cause blue fluorescence.
