Purpose

Develop blood fingerprints on light-colored surface. Applicable to non-porous materials, not to be used on porous surface.

Working principle

The coomassie brilliant blue sticks to the protein in the blood to produce brilliant blue blood fingerprint.

Method

A. Fix the prints: to prevent the coomassie brilliant blue from damaging the ridge details, before being dyed, the blood fingerprint should be dried or fixed with blood fixative.

B. Dye the prints: Prepare the dye solution and saturate the exhibit with the solution or spray the dye on the entire surface of the exhibit.

C. Flush the prints: remove the dye on the background of the exhibit with a clearing agent to uncover the developed fingerprint.
